Figma is a web-based vector graphics editor and prototyping tool, also offering offline features and a mobile app. Figma allows all team members involved in the design process to collaborate live. Their two main products, Figma and FigJam (an online whiteboard), take teams from ideation to execution and store all their work in a single, accessible location. Figma users include design teams at Slack, Twitter, Dropbox, Square, The New York Times, Zoom, and Spotify.
Figma’s Lessons page offers 12 short videos that cover topics from “What is graphic design?” to “Hierarchy” and “Typography.” These instructional videos range from just 3 to 15 minutes long. Figma also offers several design exercises that teach learners to put together design briefs and mood boards, create a storyboard, work within an existing design system, and other practical skills.
